The Town of Okotoks is aiming to support and provide increased flexibility for businesses who have been impacted by COVID-19 by allowing for temporary patios and retail spaces in existing parking spaces and/or on certain public property such as sidewalks provided that mobility connectivity through these areas is maintained.

Businesses interested in setting up a temporary patio only need to follow the steps below.

In support of the local downtown business community, the Town will be offering temporary patio furniture to three eligible businesses for use until late fall. The program has ended for 2021. Contact us if you have questions. Scroll down for more information on what this program entails.

Here's how you can get furniture for your temporary patio

This is a pilot program that can provide patio furniture to businesses that have applied for the Temporary Patios Program for free until fall this year. Note that the program has ended for 2021. The program will be back in 2022.

If you have an existing patio with an approved development permit (not temporary), the patio approval is permanent and does not need to be renewed.
