Do-It-Yourself Home Energy Audit Kit Program

DIY Home Energy Audit Kits are now available to borrow for the summer. Kits are loaned out for one week. Please note, radon monitors have been removed from the DIY Kits for the summer months (June to August) to maximize the reliability of your testing. For more information see the Radon section on our website HERE.

Using the DIY Home Energy Audit Kit

Your DIY Home Energy Audit Kit includes a number of tools to help you find ways to save energy every day! You might find small changes which can add up to big savings over the course of year. Simple things like unplugging appliances when they are not being used or adjusting the temperature of your hot water tank, fridge or freezer are free and easy. You might also identify potential issues with seals in windows and doors or areas with missing insulation that can inspire you to seek professional guidance.
