Emergency Assistance
Occasionally families experience difficulties that are beyond their control, and today’s economy has created enormous financial stress for some local residents. Families and residents with unexpected financial crises may receive limited financial help or supplies from a fund at the Centre. The Centre can also help direct residents to other community programs that may provide additional financial assistance.
Assistance is usually provided on a one-time basis and is available for residents who are not eligible for government financial assistance programs. Resource Centre coordinators meet with families requesting help to determine needs. Referrals are made as necessary.
