Community Access to School Facilities

The Foothills School Division, Christ the Redeemer School Division and Le Conseil scolaire FrancoSud are committed to contributing to the community by providing their facilities to user groups at times outside of school-based activities. The Town of Okotoks plays an important role in ensuring these publicly-funded facilities are accessible to community user groups; the client services team at the Okotoks Recreation Centre operates a common booking agency through which groups can access available facilities.

The intent of the Reciprocal Use of Indoor Facilities Agreement is to maintain consistency between three school divisions for groups accessing school facilities, maximize access and minimize disruptions to activities through last-minute cancellations. In addition to providing access to gymnasiums, the school divisions release classrooms and computer rooms.
