Take Part in Okotoks Projects!
Would you like to participate in the Town’s iNaturalist projects? Every year the Town offers various iNaturalist projects for residents to be involved in as citizen scientists. Some of the Town’s past projects include migratory birds, pollinators, and native wildflowers.
When you participate in the Town’s iNaturalist projects, you help to create data that will help the scientific community better understand and protect nature in Okotoks and all over Canada.

During the fall season, migratory birds such as osprey, ducks, house wrens and various song birds fly south for the winter. This fall you can help collect valuable data about bird species and migratory patterns by submitting your photos to Okotoks Biodiversity Monitoring project on iNaturalist. Together we can be great citizen scientists!
