Neighbourhood Block Parties

Rock Your Block Party Trailer Available Now

The Rock Your Block Party Trailer is available now until October 1 for the current season.

Rock Your Block!

Neighbourhood block parties are a fun way to bring people together, build connections, and get to know your neighbours. In order to help foster more connected communities, we want to give residents of Okotoks resources and support to plan a fun and memorable event for their neighbourhood!

  • The first step towards planning a successful block party is gathering support from your neighbours! In order to approve an application, we need to see that 75% or more of the people on your block are in favour of the event.  You'll need to gather signatures, names, addresses and phone numbers through a resident approval form.

Resident Approval Form

  • Once you have the support from your neighbourhood, you'll fill out a block party permit application. These are free of charge and can be sent in during any time of the year.

  • You might also decide that you want to make your party more exciting and rent out our block party trailer. This trailer is available free of charge and is stocked with tables and chairs, toys and games, a BBQ, and a portable speaker. You'll express your interest in renting the trailer when you fill out the block party permit application
