Picking Up the Block Party Trailer
Once you have reserved the Block Party Trailer, you will receive a booking confirmation. Please take this to the Okotoks Recreation Centre (ORC) front desk so you can pick up the keys to the Trailer. The Trailer will be parked at the north east corner of the ORC building. The keys will unlock the trailer doors as well as the trailer hitch.
Trailer Details
The trailer is 16 feet total length. The trailer is currently set up with a pintle and ring style hitch. The pintle hitch will allow anyone with a 2 inch receiver to tow this unit. In addition, the trailer will have a 6 pin trailer plug installed. A 7 pin convertor plug which should allow most trucks to tow this unit is also provided. It is recommended that the towing vehicle being used to pick up and drop off of the Rock Your Block Party Trailer should have the capacity to tow at least 3,500lbs.
Returning the Block Party Trailer
At the end of your Rock Your Block Party event, you are required to:
- Appropriately manage all waste, please do not leave it in the trailer.
- Clean the BBQ, tables and chairs.
- Wipe down and re-pack the toys, games and other supplies according to the shelf and storage bin labels.
- Lock and return the trailer to the dedicated parking stall at the Okotoks Recreation Centre.
- Advise staff at the ORC that you are checking the trailer in. They will do a walk through with you to ensure that the condition and the contents of the trailer are appropriate prior to accepting the keys. The trailer must be returned in a condition that allows the next Okotoks resident to pick it up and enjoy the amenity at their neighbourhood block party.
