Utility Account

To sign up for Town utilities, including water, sewer and waste collection, prior to your occupancy/possession date (minimum 5 days), please fill out the following utility form:

Garbage, Organics and Recycling Carts

Standard cart sizes provided to residential households include a 120L black garbage cart, 240L blue recycling cart and a 120L green organics cart.

Filling out the above utility form will also generate an automated request for delivery of garbage, organics and recycling carts to your new home.

Existing homes

Garbage, organics and recycling carts should have been left behind by the previous owner. If any carts are missing or you would like to change a cart size, please complete the waste form:

While the Town does not actively monitor your individual daily water consumption, you have the ability to do this yourself, in real-time, with your water meter portal account!

The Town offers a Tax Installment Payment Plan (TIPP), which is a monthly tax payment plan that allows taxpayers to make automatic monthly payments for taxes rather than a single annual payment.

Creating a Virtual Town Hall account gives you quick access to all of your Town accounts, including your utility bill and property tax accounts, and allows you to pay for some services, like existing dog and business licenses.

The Responsible Pet Ownership Bylaw regulates many aspects of dog ownership and certain responsibilities of dog owners; it also helps Municipal Enforcement work with pet owners to ensure that dogs, cats, their owners, and the neighbors live together harmoniously and safely.

Local Schools

The Okotoks Health and Wellness Centre houses a variety of services, including the Urgent Care Centre, as well as the Okotoks Family Resource Centre. The Health and Wellness Centre range of services include family programs, laboratory services and a wide range of other health services. Subsidized Transportation

The Town of Okotoks offers subsidized transportation services to eligible residents, who may access certain Town-operated programs and services at a reduced cost or for free. Learn more about subsidized transportation.

The Town uses ActiveOkotoks to provide you access to all registered swimming, arts, fitness, wellness, sports, recreation, and personal development programs, as well as recreation schedules.
