Okotoks Municipal Enforcement has received reports of damaged election signs. We’d like to remind everyone that election signs are a form of free expression, and respecting each candidate’s right to share their message is essential to a fair democratic process.
Please note that damaging or defacing election signs is considered mischief under Section 430 of Canada’s Criminal Code and is a criminal offence.
To report damaged signs, residents can call the Okotoks Municipal Enforcement complaint line at 403-938-8913.
