This 2014 documentary film shares the story of St. Joseph’s Residential School, also known as Dunbow Residential School northeast of Okotoks. The film honours the children who died and are buried at the school. The film will be shown on a loop at the museum until the end of July.
Also on display are 30 shoes collected from the memorial at the Okotoks Municipal Centre plaza held to honour the 215 children whose remains were found at the Kamloops Residential School. These shoes will be preserved at the museum to ensure current and future generations learn about the past.
