Instructor Bio
My name is Sara, and I started Nirvana Needles two years ago and I’ve been involved in the art community since I was 12 years old. I’ve always been an art fanatic. Growing up I enjoyed spending my time drawing and painting. At a young age my mother noticed that I had artistic talent, so she supported that by signing me up for various drawing classes, deepening my love and obsession with creating art. I grew up just south of Calgary in Okotoks, Alberta. Some of my favourite things are movie nights, espresso martinis, cuddling with my dog and, obviously, art!
I specialize in fine-line black and grey, and floral. I like to use inspiration from the world around me, as well as influences from some of my favourite tattoo artists, to create one-of-a-kind custom pieces for my clients in my own unique style!
There are so many people I’d like to thank for helping me be the artist I am today, from grade school art teachers to my mentors to my family and friends who have supported me and believed in me, thank you.
