The 80th Anniversary of the End of World War II

This year marks the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II. Learn the stories of the remarkable men and women of Okotoks who served in World War II, as well as the efforts on the home front. This exhibit marks VE Day -Victory in Europe Day -on May 8, 1945, which was the official end of the fighting in Europe. It also marks VJ Day -Victory in Japan Day -on August 15, 1945, which marked Japan's surrender and the end of the war in the Pacific.
