Funding Opportunities

The following outlines the steps for applying for United Way funding:

Submit Your Application: Complete the current year’s United Way funding application and submit all required documents through the Contact Us form.  

Confirmation: Applicants will receive confirmation that the application has been received.

Eligibility Review: All applications will be reviewed to ensure they meet United Way eligibility criteria. If clarification is needed, staff will contact the applicant before forwarding the application to the United Way/Okotoks Partnership Committee. Once eligibility is confirmed, an email will be sent to organizations to book a funding presentation time with the United Way/Okotoks Partnership Committee.

Funding Presentations: Applicants requesting over $2000 will present to the United Way/Okotoks Partnership Committee on March 11, 2026.

Funding Decisions: The United Way/Okotoks Partnership Committee makes funding decisions following presentations.

Fall Check–In: A check-in meeting will be scheduled in Fall 2026 with each successful applicant to:

• Review program progress
• Discuss trends and reporting
• Answer any questions related to funding or outcomes

The United Way/Okotoks Partnership provides funding to non-profit organizations for programs that address social needs of Okotoks & area residents.  2026 Funding applications are now closed.

Reports are due by January 31, 2026.  Reports are to be completed on the United Way database.

Submit Your Application: Complete the current year’s FCSS funding application and submit all required documents through the Contact Us form

Confirmation: Applicants will receive confirmation that the application has been received.

Eligibility Review: All applications will be reviewed to ensure they meet FCSS eligibility criteria. If clarification is needed, staff will contact the applicant before forwarding the application to the FCSS Committee. Once eligibility is confirmed, an email will be sent to organizations to book a funding presentation time with the FCSS Committee. 

Funding Presentations: Applicants requesting over $2000 will present to the FCSS Committee on January 13/14, 2026. 

Funding Decisions: The FCSS Committee makes funding decisions following presentations.

Follow-Up Meetings: A follow up meeting will be scheduled with each successful applicant to discuss outcome reporting requirements.
