The Role

Are you a grade 10 or 11 high school student looking for a fun, rewarding, and hands-on learning experience this summer? Join our team as a Junior Programs Leader and help create memorable experiences for children and youth in our summer day camps!

As a Junior Programs Leader, you will assist in providing a safe, creative, and educational environment for participants, helping them develop new skills while having fun! This position is perfect for high school students, 16+, who are eager to gain experience in program planning, education, leadership and community engagement. You’ll work alongside a supportive team to organize activities and ensure the camp runs smoothly.

What you Bring

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying.  A typical way to qualify is equivalency to:

  • Working towards High School Diploma. Must be at least 16 years of age
  • First Aid with CPR/AED – level C 
  • Aptitude for working with children
  • Demonstrated safety awareness and customer focus
  • Lifting up to 30 lbs on an infrequent basis, ability to handle exposure to varying Alberta weather conditions, and the ability to participate in recreational or sport activities such as skating or swimming as per program content is required.
