Our 10th annual 48 Hour Challenge runs this May long weekend.
Challenge May 15-17, 2026
Screening June 13, 2026 at 7PM
Teams are given a genre, prop and line of dialogue to use and will then have 48 hours to write, shoot and edit their film. All films that are completed before the deadline and meet the guidelines of the challenge will be screened during the Okotoks Film Festival, and awards will be presented to films for Best Film, Best Use of Prop, Best Use of Line, Best Use of Genre and Audience Choice. Teams of all skill levels and ages are welcome to compete.

Rules and Regulations: HIGHLIGHTS
- Films created during the challenge will be max 6 minutes in length, and must use a specified genre, prop and Image.
- Packages may be picked up or emailed to participants at 6 PM on May 15, 2026.
- Upload your film before 6 PM on May 17, 2026. Films uploaded after 6 PM on the 17th will still be screened, but will not be eligible for any awards (except Audience Choice).
- Contact for each team MUST be over the age of 18.
