Advance Votes for the Okotoks 2025 Municipal General Election took place over three days between October 11-15, 2025. The final, unofficial Advance Vote turnout was 1,993, or 8.72% of eligible voters. Thank you to all who participated at these early opportunities.

Election Day Voting: Take time to vote and make your voice heard!
The Municipal Election is Monday, October 20 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Voting stations are located at the Okotoks Recreation Centre, 99 Okotoks Drive, Viking Rentals Centre (Event Hall), 4-204, Community Way, and the D’Arcy Ranch Golf Club at 376 D’Arcy Ranch Drive. To help spread out voters and minimize wait times, residents are encouraged to vote at the location nearest to them. Residents can check the Town’s voting web page to use a searchable address map and view estimated wait times for each voting location.
Voter Eligibility
To vote in the 2025 municipal election, residents must:
- Be at least 18 years old, and
- Be a Canadian citizen, and
- Be a Town of Okotoks resident on Election Day, and
Voter Identification
Everyone will be required to show proper identification that shows full name, photograph and current address (e.g. a driver’s licence or provincial identification). Other eligible forms of identification that include a full name and current address include utility bill, bank statement, lease, vehicle registration, personal cheque or other government benefit statements. Election Results
Announcing results is expected to take longer this year due to the new provincial rule that requires all ballots to be counted by hand. Once polls close, all votes will be hand-counted, and the unofficial election results will be posted at okotoks.ca/2025-election-results when available. Official election results will be posted at okotoks.ca/municipal-election on Friday, October 24 at noon.
