Nature Friday: Bats!

  • Just ahead of Halloween, we are learning about bats! Did you know that we have 9 species of bats that live here in Alberta? And none of those species are vampire bats! Our bats eat insects, and are great at managing pests like mosquitos.

    Here's what we've got going on this week:

    Please note: parents must stay with their children while they are in the Environmental Education Centre.

    Hours: The Environmental Education Centre is open Monday through Friday to the public from 8 AM to 4 PM. On Fridays, a staff member will be on hand running activities and will be available to chat with the public and answer any questions.
