The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Information Technology Project Analyst to be a part of the Information Technology Okotoks Business Centre. The position reports to the Information Technology Manager and will be responsible for duties as such:

  • Day-to-day duties of project planning, administration, implementation and completion such as assisting with the development of a comprehensive workflow process for projects, coordinating all project phases related to IT initiatives as well as designing, developing, testing and implementing related or interfaced solutions; identifies, addresses and resolves issues and problems and recommend contemplated change notifications;
  • Coordinating stakeholder meetings and forums; prepares meeting minutes, presentations and tables as required; and filing documentation in alignment with records management policy;
  • Working closely with business units to understand their needs, ensuring alignment with business goals;
  • Analyzing data to provide reports, insights, and recommendations for IT and business with business implications;
  • Assisting in IT budgets and monitor expenditures, conduct cost-benefit analyses to support decision making;

What you Bring

A combination of education and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities to qualify. A typical way to qualify is equivalency of a University (Bachelor) Program involving the acquisition of an advanced understanding of complex concepts and procedures.
This training is often recognized by a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field, plus:

  • 5 or more years related work experience representing continuous career progression, including one year experience in indirect supervision and/or leadership mentorship experience;
  • General knowledge in design, drawing, plan reviews, and mapping required;
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written along with ability to create and maintain effective working relationships with staff and other partners required;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and electronic building systems required;
  • Experience with project budget creation and oversite required;
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, Azure and/or Power Platform is considered an asset;
  • Project management training and municipal experience considered assets;
