On July 11, 2024, the Town's Development Officer approved Development Permit Application DP # 2024-0127 for a Restaurant / Café (walk-up service only), a permitted use in the Downtown District (D), at 67 McRae Street with variances to the following sections of Land Use Bylaw 17-21:

  • Section 3.8.G.2 [Landscaping & Buffering Standards] to permit 2 trees on a site where the minimum number of trees is 3, a variance of 1 tree. 
  • Section 3.8.G.3 [Landscaping & Buffering Standards] to permit 0 shrubs on a site where the minimum number of shrubs is 5, a variance of 5 shrubs.

This Notice of Decision is given pursuant to the Municipal Government Act, Part 17 that provides for a twenty-one (21) day appeal period. If you wish to appeal the decision or conditions you may do so by filing an application, with the applicable fee, with the Secretary of the Subdivision and Development Appeal Board within twenty-one (21) days of the date of this Notice of Decision.
