We are lucky to have the beautiful Sheep River run through Okotoks. March 14 is International Day of Action for Rivers and we are getting the party started a day early! Come learn about water conservation in Okotoks and ways we can be more water-wise at home and school!
Here's what we've got going on this week:
| CREATE | Make your own winding river craft using yarn and paper! |
| WATCH & LEARN | Why is water conservation important? |
| EXPLORE | For adults – grab a toilet tab to test leaky toilets at home and learn more about the water conservation rebate program, water meter portal and water smart changes you can make at home. |
Please note: parents must stay with their children while they are in the education centre.
Hours: the Environmental Education Centre is open Monday to Friday to the public from 10 AM to 4 PM. Fridays a staff member will be on hand running activities, and will be available to chat with the public and answer questions.
