International Mountain Day falls on December 11, so this Nature Friday is all about mountains! How are mountains formed? What wildlife calls the mountain habitats home? What are some of the mountains close to Okotoks?
Here's what we've got going on this week:
| CREATE | Design torn paper mountain landscapes |
| WATCH & LEARN | Watch a fun, educational video to learn about where mountains come from |
| EXPLORE | We'll chat about some of the nearby mountains. What are their names? How tall are they? |
Please note: parents must stay with their children while they are in the education centre.
Hours: the Environmental Education Centre is open Monday to Friday to the public from 10 AM to 4 PM. Fridays a staff member will be on hand running activities, and will be available to chat with the public and answer questions.
