Nature Fridays: Eco-Friendly Holiday Season

  • Join us for a fun-filled, eco-friendly holiday Nature Fridays event. Kiddos learn how to create beautiful holiday ornaments and cards while also thinking about what we can do this holiday season to be better global citizens. As we craft, we’ll share simple tips on how to make the holiday season greener and  minimize your footprint—whether it's reducing waste, reusing materials or making mindful gift choices.

    Here's what we've got going on this week:

    CREATE Make Christmas ornaments and cards out of recycled materials, plus we've got fun holiday colouring pages
    WATCH & LEARNWe'll watch The Story of Stuff (and other holiday videos!). This quick video is full of facts— it will teach you something, make you laugh and it just may change the way you look at all the stuff in your life forever.  

    Please note: parents must stay with their children while they are in the education centre.

    Hours: Nature Fridays take place every Friday at the Environmental Education Centre from 10 AM to 4 PM. There will be a staff member will be on hand running activities, and will be available to chat with the public and answer questions.
