Nature Fridays: Dinosaurs

  • The Alberta Badlands have long been one of the richest dinosaur-producing areas in the world, with about 60-70 different types of dinosaurs that have been found in Alberta. Today's Nature Friday is all about these prehistoric creatures and other fossils!

    Here's what we've got going on this week:

    CREATECreate your very own dinosaur out of cardboard and paper!
    WATCH & LEARNEducational videos from the Royal Tyrell Museum in Drumheller!
    EXPLOREJoin us and learn about some of the largest animals that ever roamed the earth! 

    Please note: parents must stay with their children while they are in the education centre.

    Hours: the Environmental Education Centre is open Monday to Friday to the public from 10 AM to 4 PM. Fridays a staff member will be on hand running activities, and will be available to chat with the public and answer questions.
