The Town of Okotoks is updating the Municipal Development Plan and Land Use Bylaw based on new provincial flood maps for the Sheep River. Completed in 2025, the provincial Sheep River Flood Study provides updated maps showing areas that may be affected by flooding. The Town is reviewing its policies and regulations to align with this new information and help guide future development in flood-prone areas.
