Extension of the sanitary trunk main and installation of a new manhole at the intersection of 32nd Street and Crystal Green Lane. Work will take place along the east side of 32nd Street.
Schedule
- Start Date: August 11, 2026
- End Date: August 28, 2026
- Hours: Monday to Saturday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Traffic & Pedestrian Impacts
- 32nd St East and the intersection at Crystal Green Lane will remain open to traffic during construction.
- Digital message boards and signage will be in place to guide traffic and pedestrians.
- Traffic delays are expected, especially during peak travel times.
- The sidewalk on the east side of 32nd Street will be closed, with signed pedestrian detours available.
- Traffic and pedestrian detours may remain in place 24 hours a day, as required, throughout construction.
- Direct driveway access for nearby residents is expected to remain available.
What to Expect
- Traffic will continue to move through the area; expect temporary traffic and pedestrian detours will occur during construction activities.
- Construction crews, heavy equipment and increased noise during working hours.
- Possible delays at nearby intersections and traffic signals.
- Please slow down, follow all posted signs and traffic-control measures and use extra caution when travelling through the work zone.
Why This Work is Happening
This work is required to extend the existing sanitary trunk main and install a new manhole as part of the off-site servicing work for the Ridgemont Phase 1 development.
