Starting October 1, Alberta's new Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) program expands what can be recycled in Okotoks.
What's Changed?
More materials are now accepted, including plastic bags, overwrap, foam packaging, food & body aerosols, foam containers, flexible plastics, and other packaging materials that were not previously collected through the residential recycling program.
Blue Cart Service Changes
T&T Disposal Services is the first point of contact for blue cart service inquiries, including missed collections, damaged carts, cart exchanges, and collection concerns. They can be reached at 403-938-7930 or recycling@tandtdisposals.ca.

Food & Body Aerosols
Food spray, whipping cream, hairspray, air fresheners, shaving cream, deodorant.

Flexible Plastics
Bags used for dry cleaning, bread, newspapers and flyers. Overwrap (paper towel & toilet paper, beverage containers). Coffee bags or deli pouches, chip bags, bubble wrap, snack wrappers, cereal liner bags, plastic gift bags.

Plastic Packaging & Containers
Deodorant, toothpaste and lotion or hand cream tubes.

Foam Packaging
Meat trays, takeout containers, cups, plates, bowls, foam packaging.
