Daggett Street between Northridge Drive and Veterans Way
Type of Work
Construction crews will be working along the south side of Daggett Street to add new on-street parking (approximately 44 parallel parking stalls) as part of the River’s Edge Infrastructure Improvements project. Work includes:
- Removal of existing curb along the south side of Daggett Street
- Installation of new curb and roadway realignment
- Gravel and asphalt placement for new parking areas
- Line painting and installation of parking signage
Schedule
Construction is scheduled to begin the week of July 6, 2026, and is expected to take approximately two to three weeks, weather permitting. Working hours will be:
- Monday to Saturday
- 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Traffic Impacts
Motorists should expect temporary traffic disruptions during construction.
- Daggett Street will remain open as one-way westbound traffic only, accessed from Veterans Way.
- Access to Daggett Street from Northridge Drive will be closed during construction.
- Traffic control measures and signage will be in place to guide motorists through the area.
Parking Impacts
Temporary parking restrictions will be in place during active construction.
- No parking will be permitted on the north side of Daggett Street within the construction area.
- Adjacent business parking lots will remain accessible.

Why This Work is Happening
As part of the River's Edge Infrastructure Improvements project, the Town of Okotoks is adding approximately 44 new on-street parallel parking stalls along Daggett Street to improve parking availability, support access to nearby businesses and services and help accommodate future growth in the area.
