Understanding Sexual Exploitation: What Every Parent Should Know
How can we help keep our kids safe online and in the community?
Join McMan Family Resource Network Okotoks, in partnership with the Collaborative Outreach Preventing Exploitation (COPE) Program and Okotoks Public Library, for a thoughtful and informative conversation about the vulnerabilities that can increase a young person’s risk of sexual exploitation.
Parents, caregivers, and community members are welcome. Content is geared toward those parenting youth ages 12 and older.
You’ll learn more about early warning signs and risk factors, responding rather than reacting to concerns, and creating age-appropriate safety strategies that build connection and support young people’s safety online and in the community.
