The Inspiration Studio Academy of Fine Art (ISAFA) in Okotoks hosts an annual Christmas Youth Art Market, providing young artists with an opportunity to showcase and sell their work. The 2025 event is scheduled for December 13, 2025, at the Okotoks Elks Hall for only three hours so make sure you carve out the three hours to get in and see all the magic, run by the lifetime resident, incomparable local artist and art instructor, Robin Thibodeau
This market is part of a series of public exhibitions that include the Youth Makers Market in June and the Halloween Youth Art Market. The event features artwork from students aged 7 to 18, including paintings, drawings, sculptures, jewelry, ornaments, toys and a plethora of mixed media creations.
There will be fun interactive games to play along with a festive backdrop complete with funny accessories for family and friend photos. The market aims to help young artists develop confidence, learn about marketing their work, and gain experience in public display and communication with the public as well.
Admission is free, and attendees can support local charities like Okotoks Pound Rescue and Heaven Can Wait Animal Rescue Foundation through donations of food, toys and cash.
The event has been featured in local media for a number of years, including the Western Wheel, which highlighted past markets with photo galleries and articles.
