It's World Ranger Day, and our parks wouldn't be what they are without the help of our Okotoks Park team! This Nature Friday, we'll be showing our appreciation for the hard work they do!
Canada and Alberta Parks employ peace officers to enforce regulations and legislation around the protection of parks, including national and provincial parks. They are often wardens of the entire ecosystem, and their main goal is education before enforcement. Our Parks division here in town helps keep our town pretty and clean, while our bylaw officers and peace officers do the enforcement.

Please note: parents must stay with their children while they are in the education centre.
Hours: the Environmental Education Centre is open Monday to Friday to the public from 10 AM to 4 PM. Fridays a staff member will be on hand running activities, and will be available to chat with the public and answer questions.
