July 28th is World Nature Conservation Day, and we're excited to celebrate with you this Nature Friday!
What do you love most about the environment? Well, if you're not sure, you're about to discover it.
Here's what we've got going on this week:
| CREATE | Create a sign with your favorite part of the environment (it could be your favorite plant/ animal, or landscape, or body of water!) Then, sign it, and we will place it somewhere to be seen by all, to encourage behaviors that conserve our precious Earth. |
| WATCH & LEARN | Learn to love the environment! Our world has such beautiful landscapes, both on the earth, in the sky, and under the water. |
| EXPLORE | At 1 pm we will go on a small hike around the river to look for wildlife, including animals, insects, plants, and the surrounding ecosystem! |
Please note: parents must stay with their children while they are in the education centre.
Hours: the Environmental Education Centre is open Monday to Friday to the public from 10 AM to 4 PM. Fridays a staff member will be on hand running activities, and will be available to chat with the public and answer questions.
