Come out and cheer on local racers at the 36th Annual Rotary Club of Okotoks Soap Box Derby! This popular community tradition features up to 100 youngsters between the ages of 8 and 14 as they fly down the Crystal Ridge Drive hill in a series of fast-paced heats.
With four carts racing per heat, every participant is guaranteed at least five races. In addition to crowning the fastest driver with the coveted Soap Box Cup, prizes will be handed out for the most creative cart, best paint job, most original costume, and most enthusiastic driver.
- Friday Evening: Cart inspection and practice rounds.
- Saturday: Racing officially commences at 9:00 AM.
- Rain Date: In the event of poor weather, the races will be moved to Sunday, June 7.
