Valentine's Day Roller Skating Party!

We’re celebrating one year of our new Youth Centre and Valentine’s Day with a roller skating party at the Okotoks Recreation Centre on February 13 from 4:30 to 9:30 p.m.! Lace up your roller skates and glide around the gymnasium, jump into games and activities, snap some photos in the Photobooth, and get crafty with Valentine’s Day fun in the Youth Centre space. Light refreshments will be available to keep you rolling! Roller skates will be provided by Biggie’s Roller Rink on a first-come, first-served basis, so participants are encouraged to bring their own skates if they have them. 

Help us 'Fill the Skate!' We will have a Roller Skate Donation Bin on site where we will be accepting non-perishable food items for the Okotoks Food Bank! 

Event Schedule: 

• 3:00 p.m. - Youth Centre Open to All Ages. Check out our assortment of gaming consoles, board games, gaming equipment, Valentine's Day crafts and more! 
• 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. - Family Skate in the gymnasium (all ages) 
• 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. - Youth Skate in the gymnasium (12 to 17 years) 

Important Details for Roller Skating Participants: 

• All roller skating participants must sign a waiver prior to skating. 
• Roller skates will be provided by Biggie’s Roller Rink on a first-come, first-served basis, so participants are encouraged to bring their own skates if they have them. Socks must be worn in roller skates. 
• Helmets are not required, but are highly encouraged. There will be a limited number available to borrow on site, but we encourage attendees to bring their own if they have one. 
• *Time limits for roller skating may be implemented to accommodate all participants who want to roller skate.
