Nature Fridays: Creepy Crawlies

  • Did you know Alberta is home to some seriously strange and amazing bugs? From speedy beetles to web-spinning spiders, discover the wild world of insects and how they help our ecosystems in ways we don’t always see! This hands-on event lets you become a bug scientist: zoom in with microscopes and turn old craft supplies into spooky spider creations

    Here's what we've got going on this week:

    WATCH & LEARNLearn all about some of the coolest and creepiest bugs we have in alberta and all over the world!
    EXPLORETake a close look at various bugs under the microscope!
    CREATEMake a spooky spider craft with recycled materials

    Please note: parents must stay with their children while they are in the education centre.

    Hours: Nature Fridays take place every Friday at the Environmental Education Centre from 10 AM to 4 PM. There will be a staff member will be on hand running activities, and will be available to chat with the public and answer questions.
