The Town of Okotoks is pleased to announce that applications are now open for the 2025 Sheep River Artist in Residence program. Now in its third year, this four-week residency offers Alberta-based artists a unique opportunity to develop their work while engaging with the local community.
The residency will take place in September 2025 and is timed to align with both Alberta Culture Days and Month of the Artist, allowing the selected artist to contribute to community celebrations of creativity and cultural expression. The program includes studio space, a stipend, and opportunities for public engagement, such as workshops, open studio hours, or artist talks.
Artists from all disciplines are encouraged to apply. The Town is looking for proposals that reflect a high level of creativity and a strong interest in community connection and artistic development.
