Okotoks residents are invited to share their experiences and help shape the future of local transit.
In 2025, the Town launched fixed-route transit to complement the existing on-demand service, providing residents with a reliable and convenient public transit option during peak travel periods. The service was introduced following a transit feasibility study, community engagement, and Council approval, with feedback from residents playing an important role in shaping the service.
As Okotoks continues to grow, the Town is seeking input from current transit customers, potential future riders and residents to help guide the next phase of transit planning.
"We want to better understand how residents use transit today and what improvements would make the service more convenient, accessible, and effective," said Chris MacIsaac, Community Identity Manager. "Whether you ride transit regularly, occasionally, or not at all, your feedback is valuable."
The survey asks participants about:
- How they currently use transit services
- Their experiences with fixed-route and on-demand transit
- Service priorities and challenges
- Potential future service expansions
- Potential extended service hours and weekend service
- Accessibility improvements
- Future transportation needs as Okotoks grows
Feedback gathered through the survey will help identify priorities and inform future investments and service improvements.
The survey will run from August 31 to September 16.
