Okotoks, AB - Residents are invited to join Okotoks Fire & Rescue for the Fire Prevention Week Open House on Sunday, Oct. 4, 2026. This free, family-friendly event will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Fire Station 1 and will kick off National Fire Prevention Week with activities, demonstrations, and important fire safety education.

Refreshments will also be available on site.
This year's National Fire Prevention Week theme is "Charge into Fire Safety™: Safe charging is a superpower." It runs from Oct. 4 to 10, 2026, and focuses on helping families understand how to safely use and charge the growing number of battery-powered devices found in homes today.
Visitors driving to the event are encouraged to park across the street at the Okotoks Recreation Centre. Please note that fire crews may need to leave the event if emergency calls are received.
