E-scooters are rolling back into Okotoks for the 2026 season, with service set to begin as early as April 1.
E-scooters offer a fun, accessible and environmentally friendly way to get around town. As the weather warms, they provide a flexible option for short trips, running errands, and connecting to local destinations.
In 2025, riders took more than 25,000 trips in Okotoks, covering 46,868 kilometres, with the average ride lasting just under 15 minutes.
The Town encourages everyone to enjoy the service while keeping safety and courtesy top of mind. Wearing a helmet is strongly recommended for all riders, regardless of age.
Riders are reminded to:
- Yield to pedestrians at all times
- Obey traffic rules and signage
- Ride responsibly and stay alert
- Park scooters properly, keeping sidewalks, pathways, and roadways clear
Scooters must not block access for pedestrians, mobility devices, or emergency services. When used responsibly, e-scooters help support active transportation, reduce short vehicle trips, and help keep our community connected. Learn more about e-scooters in Okotoks.
