Lend a hand to give the river valley a good spring cleaning!
The Town of Okotoks, in cooperation with Parks & Recreation, invites residents, businesses, and local groups to the 25th Annual Community Clean Up and Tree Planting event. Join hundreds of volunteers as we work together to keep our town green, enhance local biodiversity, and support reforestation efforts.
This year, we are putting a special focus on our Tree Planters. Help us reach our goal of planting 1,500 seedlings to keep our river valley beautiful for future generations.
- What to bring: Please bring your own shovels, gloves, and sturdy footwear for planting.
How to Get Involved:
- Pre-Register: Pick up your cleaning supplies in advance at the Okotoks Recreation Centre (Client Services) and just start cleaning up on Saturday morning when you’re ready.
- Join the Day Of: Gather your family, friends, or coworkers and meet at the Lions Park Picnic Shelter at 9:00 am. Gloves and garbage bags will be provided for those helping to clean the river valley.
- Gather a Team: We encourage groups and clubs, faith groups, and local businesses to join the effort.
