FREE ART WALL LAUNCH
The Sheep River is a natural gathering spot for residents and visitors alike during the summer months. The Town of Okotoks, with support from the Okotoks Arts Council, is launching a FREE ART WALL as part of this year’s Canada Day activities. Located under the Northridge Drive Bridge (where it crosses the Sheep River near the Okotoks Lions Campground), the community canvas will start as concrete panels that have been painted white. People will be invited to share their creativity on an ongoing basis.
“The FREE ART WALL will give people, young and old, a place in the public realm to share their creativity,” said Russell Thomas, President of the Okotoks Arts Council. “We will be providing paints, brushes and all the supplies to help get this initiative up and running on July 1st.”
The FREE ART WALL will provide a creative opportunity for individuals and families who love to spend time close to the water during the warm months in our community.
