This interactive map shows the Town-maintained playgrounds, parks and exercise equipment available within Okotoks. Discover the 90+ parks, 50+ playgrounds and several locations where  outdoor exercise equipment is available to plan your next outdoor adventure!

This printable map shows the current pathway and trail system around Okotoks that connects virtually every corner of town. The map includes a few sample walking/running/cycling routes, important landmarks and buildings, as well as a distance legend to give approximate distances between various points throughout town. It also contains great information about local wildlife, dogs in parks, safety information and tips for sharing the path.

The Town of Okotoks pathway system consists of primary and secondary pathways. Primary pathways (red) are main pedestrian corridors that collect from a series of secondary pathways (black) to facilitate pedestrian movement from residential to commercial areas.

Horticultural information services are also offered focusing on pest and disease control, weed control, wise water use and integrated pest management. Parks also manages and maintains the cemetery, providing a broad range of interment options.

Slow down and share the path

Please be courteous and respect others when sharing the pathways. No matter what kind of activity you enjoy, it’s important to follow some basic rules and guidelines to ensure that the pathways remain a safe and enjoyable place for everyone:

• Respect the rights of others
• Yield to pedestrians and slower moving traffic (cyclists, skateboarders, e-scooters users and in-line skaters yield to walkers and joggers) and yield to the right of way
• On pathways, stay to the right, except when passing
• Slow down and signal when passing pedestrians with a bell, whistle, horn or voice 
• Use caution on hills, in curves and on or under bridges, including the Laurie Boyd footbridge
• If you ride after dark or in bad weather, be sure to have a light and reflectors
• The maximum speed limit on pathways is 20 km/hr
• Cyclists, pedestrians and motorists are ALL responsible to abide all signs, signals, and traffic laws
