Business Visitation and Warm Welcome

The Town of Okotoks values businesses and business owners. The Business Visitation Program (BVP) was established to offer additional support to the businesses in Okotoks. One key Council directive for Community Growth and Investment (CGI) is to build relationships with the business community. The BVP is structured to improve regular communications and knowledge sharing with the local business community.

Your Business Matters

The Town’s Business Visitation Program allows the cultivation and fostering of better relationships within the Okotoks business community. The Town would love to hear and learn from local businesses. What’s your unique story? Why did you locate your business in Okotoks? What makes you stay? How can we help you grow?

Warm Welcome Initiative (Pilot)

An additional aspect of this program is the Warm Welcome initiative, where new businesses can request a meeting with representatives of the Town and the Okotoks Entrepreneurial Ecosystem (OEE) to officially welcome them to Okotoks at or around the time of their opening.

The purpose of these Warm Welcomes is to establish a strong working relationship with businesses at their outset while also introducing them to the additional supports available to them through business support stakeholders in the community.

*Note that the Warm Welcome Initiative has commenced as a pilot project, and will evolve as the program matures with more feedback from stakeholders.
