Paint-a-Potty: Phase Three Winners

The Town of Okotoks has been collaborating with the Foothills Composite High School/Alberta High School of the Fine Arts, on the third Paint-a-Potty project that will see students paint murals on three of the Town’s outdoor concrete washrooms this spring.

In March, 739 community members voted on which designs they believed should be painted on the three outdoor concrete washrooms in Okotoks that were selected for the project.

Congratulations to the winning artists, Sophia Partridge, Paige Williams and Brooklyn Quinn for having their designs selected.

The site locations chosen paired with the winning designs are as follows:

  • Bill Robertson Park – Design #7 – Sophia Partridge
  • Kinsman Park – Design #2 – Paige Williams
  • Sheep River Park – Design #8 – Brooklyn Quinn

This year’s theme is sport with a connection to the Alberta Summer Games and each of the winning designs emphasize the healthy value that sports, community and art have to offer. This initiative offers added beauty to the functional facilities and helps to deter vandalism and graffiti.

The washroom mural paintings will begin in May, with all designs scheduled for completion by the end of the 2023 school year.
