Are you looking for information about community resources and social services? The Okotoks Family Resource Centre (OFRC) can help you navigate the resources that are available, problem-solve, and will connect you with the right supports for financial challenges, coping difficulties, medical and dental services, grief, addictions, family issues, support groups and more.
Staff at OFRC are available to assist residents who need information, referral, help with forms and connection to supports by phone or email.

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to change the way we live, the Town has a number of programs and services to keep residents connected, and is compiling an online curation of helpful programs, tips and resources for residents to make the best of their time at home.
While our facilities may be physically closed, we are using the Okotoks Recreation Centre Facebook page and the Okotoks Culture Facebook page as a place to connect residents with resources, as well as fun, active and engaging activities virtually.

Access Mental Health is a non-urgent service providing information, consultation, and referrals for individuals with addiction and/or mental health concerns. Mental Health Clinicians complete a clinical interview over the telephone to assess the individuals’ needs. Mental Health Clinicians are familiar with both Alberta Health Services and community-based programs and will explore all options in order to refer individuals to the most appropriate resources.

Alberta Healthy Living Program: Free courses for adults with ongoing COVID-19 symptoms
If you are one of the many Alberta adults living with COVID symptoms months after your diagnosis, Alberta Healthy Living Program's free classes can help you. You can take one or all of their five online Zoom sessions. Topics include breathing, eating, sleeping, stress, activity and more. You can learn in the comfort of your home and no referral is needed.

The McMan Family Resource Network (FRN) - Okotoks is a community hub that provides a range of services and programming for children, youth and families in Okotoks and surrounding area. They provide a welcoming environment and connect individuals with the resources, services, and people they need in the areas of:

• child development and wellbeing
Kids Help Phone is Canada’s only 24/7, national support service. They offer professional counselling, information and referrals and volunteer-led, text-based support to young people in both English and French.

ConnecTeen is a confidential peer support service for youth in Calgary and area. They are a program of Distress Centre. Being a teen can be tough. You have more independence, responsibility, and stress as a teenager, and you probably have more questions too.
There are some things you can’t talk to an adult about and there’s probably a lot of things your friends don’t get about you. They can connect you with a peer who understands your unique situation and can help talk you though your issues. They don’t judge. They are there to listen. The service is confidential so no one needs to know you contacted them.
