Town of Okotoks implements Government of Alberta’s Step 2 public health measures 

The Provincial government recently announced the further easing of COVID-19 public health measures. The Town of Okotoks will be implementing the changes in alignment with provincial direction. 

Effective today, (March 1):

  • Indoor masking is no longer required in Town facilities, except:
    • on Okotoks Transit for 13 and older, and trips with the subsidized taxi program and Volunteer Driver program
    • at AHS-operated and contracted facilities, including the Okotoks Family Resource Centre
  • Indoor and outdoor social gathering limits have been lifted
  • Capacity on all large venues and entertainment venues has been lifted
  • Youth screening activities for entertainment and sport activities removed

While most restrictions are now lifted, some may continue to take protective health measures. Please continue to demonstrate respect and kindness to others through these changing times.

February 14 update:

Town of Okotoks implements provincial changes to mandatory mask requirements for children under 12

The Town of Okotoks continues to implement the easing of public health measures in alignment with provincial direction announced February 8, 2022.

As of February 14, children under 12 will no longer be required to wear mandatory masks in Town owned and operated facilities. 

As a reminder, effective February 9, the Restrictions Exemption Program (REP) has been removed and food & beverages are allowed while seated.  Capacity limits remain in effect for large event venues.
