In support of the local downtown business community, the Town will be offering temporary patio furniture to three eligible businesses for use until late fall.
Eligible businesses will be able to utilize their existing private property, or propose the use of public property, e.g. occupying parking lot spaces, etc.
Downtown businesses are invited to apply by sending an email directly to Okotoks Economic Development
As this is a pilot program, there are only three patio packages available this year. If more than three requests are received, the businesses will be chosen through a random draw.
Each patio package includes three square dining tables, six patio chairs, two freestanding umbrellas and five standalone patio planters filled with annuals. The planters can be used to define a space for the patio sets.
Town employees will deliver the patio sets to the selected businesses, and assist with setting up the patio. At the end of the season, the Town will also assist with picking up the patio packages at the request of the business owner.
Businesses must apply by Monday, June 7 at noon. Winners will be notified within 48 hours, and can have their patio setup by the following weekend!
