The Town is increasing the access in arena viewing areas and opening the walking track at Pason Centennial Arena.
Beginning November 2, new arena and aquatics guidelines will come into effect.
Arena Users are requested to arrive no more than 20 minutes in advance of their activity, and spectators no more than five minutes prior. Participants are asked to come as fully dressed as possible.
The maximum facility capacity in arenas are as follows:
- Okotoks Recreation Centre Murray Arena: 100 people
- Okotoks Recreation Centre Piper Arena: 45 people
- Pason’s Gold: 75 people
- Pason’s Green: 100 people
All arena ice surfaces: 50 people (including players, coaches and referees)
Beginning November 9, the walking track guidelines will come into effect and the track will reopen Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to noon. The track will remain closed on weekends. The track is open to walkers only; running or warming up before hockey games is not permitted.
There will be single lane usage only, unless passing. All walking track users must check in with Client Services at the Gold Arena reception desk and wear a mask at all times.
Leisure ice is not scheduled to open at this time, although extra public skating slots will be added on other ice surfaces. Opening of the leisure ice will be reviewed again in the coming months.
The Aquatics Centre continues to provide more programing and swim options. Teen Swims are back on Friday nights. Patrons are still asked to arrive no more than five minutes in advance, in your swim attire as change rooms are for changing out of your wet swim attire after swimming to exit the facility quickly.
Change rooms are going to operate as gendered spaces available all Aquatic Centre hours but may close as needed for cleaning.
Masks are mandatory in all municipal buildings.
Please find the arena, aquatics and walking track guidelines on the COVID-19 recreation page.
