The Town of Okotoks remains on the Alberta Health Services (AHS) watch list for COVID-19 cases. There were new requirements announced today for all communities with watch list status.

AHS has advised that there is now a mandatory cap of 15 people for social gatherings in all watch list areas. This is a public health order and tickets could be issued if not compliant. There are currently no proposed changes to guidelines for recreation facilities or places of worship in Okotoks.  Please continue to watch the AHS website and the this page for updates:

Please note: the provincial data transmission from AHS to the portal is broken and will not be fixed until Monday, at the earliest.

Voluntary Measures

As of November 6, AHS is recommending all residents and visitors of communities on the watch list to take the following voluntary measures:

  • Limit your cohorts to no more than 3: your core household, your school, and one other sport or social cohort. Young children who attend child care could be part of 4 cohorts, given that child care settings have not been a high risk for spread.
  • Wear a mask in all indoor work settings, except when alone in a workspace like an office or cubicle where you are safely distanced from others, or an appropriate barrier is in place.
