First Responders Day

OKOTOKS, AB: On May 1, The Town of Okotoks recognizes the committed men and women who are have dedicated their lives to public service with First Responders Day in Okotoks.

First Responders are people who, in the early stages of an emergency, are responsible for the protection and preservation of life, property, evidence and the environment. 

First Responders Day is an opportunity to celebrate the everyday heroes that are the nurses, doctors, paramedics, medical evacuation pilots, emergency medical technicians, emergency managers, RCMP and Municipal Enforcement, firefighters, military personnel, and dispatchers who are providing essential services to the community. The life-saving skills of these volunteers and professionals often make the difference between life and death.

The Town extends a thank you to its neighbours, relatives, and friends that are Okotoks’ First Responders. Your public service remains so critical during the COVID-19 crisis.
