What are our committee members saying?
“Volunteering with the Family & Community Support Services (FCSS) Committee has really opened my eyes to the various good things that community organizations are doing across the town to make Okotoks a better place. I have met some great people, dealt with some interesting subjects, and I would recommend this experience to anyone.”

"I think getting involved in your community is a great way to feel that you are at home. Doing stuff for others is a really great way to find out what you love to do. While I was on the committee I learned about a lot of cool things that were happening in my community that I didn’t know were happening before. So as much as I was contributing to the community I was also gaining a lot and learning a lot from it as well."

"I joined the United Way Okotoks Partnership Committee after reading about open seats in various town committees in the Western Wheel. I had very little knowledge of the United Way or committees in general but I wanted to give something back to my town. I have found The United Way Partnership Committee to be an easy group to be part of. I enjoy the monthly meetings and discussions with the group on fundraising and raising awareness of the charity's impact in Okotoks and area. I especially enjoy listening to eligible local non-profits ideas for the funding raised by our efforts and helping those plan become a reality."
