Community Champion logo - words know your neighbour, stay connected, celebrate safelyThe Town of Okotoks is launching the Community Champion Program to encourage residents to get to know their neighbours and is inviting volunteers to be Community Champions for their neighbourhoods.

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues into the winter months, the Community Champion Program will provide tools and opportunities for residents to continue to strengthen their neighbourhood connections by getting to know people who live around them in a safe and positive way. When neighbours know one another they create safer, more connected and resilient communities.

Community Champions will receive support, tools and ideas from the Town as they get to know their neighbours, connect outside, and celebrate safely. Each Champion will receive a toolkit of fun items to take home and share with their neighbours.

This initiative starts November 20, with lots of opportunities for residents to join in and get involved.
